Wintertime brings snow - and lots of it. Champagne powder. Winter Park
averages over 30 feet of snow a year and boasts having "the most snow
of any major Colorado destination resort". With 21 lifts serving 134
trails spread out over more than 2,700 acres across five mountains
(Winter Park, Mary Jane, Vasquez Ridge, Parsenn Bowl and Vasquez
Cirque) Winter Park is considered one of the top ten ski resorts in the
United States. Mary Jane, revered for big bumps, deep chutes, tight
glades and steep pitches, is consistently ranked #1 for moguls in North
America by Skiing Magazine. World-class runs, terrain parks and
superpipes, extreme and dramatic terrain to wide gentle slopes, provide
plenty of runs for skiers and riders of all abilities. Other wintertime
activities include: cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding/tubing,
dog sled rides, horse-draw sleigh rides, snowmobiling, hot air
ballooning, and ice skating.
Summertime brings blue skies, fresh air and warm Rocky Mountain
sunshine. The weather is perfect to enjoy the many special summertime
events being held in and around Winter Park - the music festivals,
mountain bike races, art fairs, wine tasting, home touring, veteran's
rally, rodeos and so much more. Don't forget about white-water rafting,

climbing, horseback riding, golfing, fly fishing, and wildlife viewing.
